Simple Site

A straightforward website for a straightforward business. Tells people who you are, what you do, and how to reach you.

What You Get

A clean, functional site. No ongoing fees beyond hosting.

Mobile-first design

Looks good on phones, tablets, and desktops. I'd guess 70%+ of your customers will see it on a phone first.

Contact form

Visitors send you a message — it arrives in your email. No technical setup on your end.

Google Maps embed

Your location shown on a map so people can find you easily.

Basic SEO

Proper page titles, descriptions, heading structure, and an XML sitemap. Helps Google understand and rank your site.

Hosting

I host the site on a cloud service. Typically £5–£15/month depending on what you need. Fast, secure, automatic SSL.

3–5 pages

Home, About, Services, Gallery, Contact — or whatever structure suits your business.

Who This Is For

Pretty much any small, local business that needs a web presence but doesn't need daily updates:

Plumbers & electricians
Builders & handymen
Cafés & sandwich shops
Hairdressers & barbers
B&Bs & self-catering
Farm shops
Gardeners & landscapers
Dog walkers & pet services

Questions

Can I update the site myself after it's built?

If you want to edit content yourself, I can add a CMS — that's the Business tier. The Simple Site is fixed-content: I build it, you approve it, it stays as-is unless you ask for changes.

How long does it take?

Typically 1–2 weeks from the first conversation to going live, depending how quickly the design is agreed.

Do I need to pay for hosting separately?

Yes — hosting and the domain name are separate from the build cost. I'll help you buy a domain (about £10/year) and set up hosting (about £5–£15/month depending on the site).

What if I want more pages later?

Easy. I can add pages or upgrade to the Business tier whenever you're ready.
